2011 Memories

Saturday, December 31, 2011

Tomorrow, we are going to enter 2012. I think I have quite a lot of memories in 2011, bad and good, but I don't think I remember all of them. Poor my too-hard-working brain, some of the memories have gone.

If you are a constant reader of this blog, you might still remember the lab burnt incident happened in January. If you don't know about it, you can read it here. The incident happened when I was in Kuala Terengganu, attending my best friend's wedding. I was quite sad at that time, and also quite busy cleaning all the mess together with my colleagues.

I thought I could end my research by April, unfortunately too many problems occurred; the yeast cell didn't grow, contamination of the competent cell, have to shamelessly use other labs' equipments (because of the lab burnt incident), some stupid people created stupid rules, etc etc etc. Because of all these problems, I have to extend 2 semesters for my Master's degree.

My health is not good after gaining 12kgs of body weight. Every night I couldn't sleep properly because I can hardly breathe. I feel tired easily. I feel pain at my feet every time I walked for a long time. I have back ache. Now, I have to work hard losing the unnecessary weight.

I went to Chiang Mai, Thailand, together with my eldest sister, her husband and my niece. Of course, I was sponsored by them. So, Chiang Mai, checked.

I think I become a bit matured in 2011. I learned from the experiences and books. I love reading motivational books, so these books helped me a lot. When I say a bit mature, it means there is still a child inside me. Too mature is boring, okay.

I forgave many people this year. Not because I'm too good to forgive them, but it's because I don't want to keep too many negative things inside me. It's tiring me, and I've had enough tiredness. Forgiving people gives me a more calm soul.

I heard a few rumours about me, spread by I-don't-know-who. It's funny because I never disturbed other people's life. I was too busy with my lab works, I even did not go back to my hometown for 9 months. However, they still spread those stupid rumours. So, I don't want to care about these people and I don't even want to know who they are. Negative people should be blocked from entering your life. We will meet in the hereafter later.

Well, that's all I can remember. See, I told you, my poor brain has deleted some memories. On the positive side, deleting old memories will allow new memories enter your brain. So I hope, in 2012, I will have a better life, and good things will happen. Insya Allah...

Happy New Year 2012 to everybody. May all your wishes come true. (^_^)V

(Movie Review) Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

Monday, December 26, 2011

I went to Cathay Cineleisure at The Curve just now with my housemate to watch this movie. The hall was full, of course, because today is public holiday. So many people were hanging out with their family and friends.

This movie was awesome! It is totally recommended. You won't waste your money on this movie. It is totally worthy. You will feel the excitement from the beginning until the end of the movie. This movie was not 100% serious, it has a little bit humour which makes you won't feel sleepy.

As usual, Tom Cruise plays the main character, Ethan Hunt. In this movie, he has 3 partners, Brandt (Jeremy Renner), Benji (Simon Pegg) and Jane (Paula Patton). You should watch this movie to see how they work on their plans. Maybe some of us know hat Tom Cruise did his own stunt on the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world located in Dubai). No CGI for the stunt, it was totally real! Huhu...when you watch it, you will know how high the Burj Khalifa is.

I have no more comments on this movie. Just go buy the ticket and watch it! Hehe. I give 4.5 stars for this movie.

Movie Review: Alvin and the Chipmunks 3

Saturday, December 17, 2011

I watched this movie at TGV Wangsa Walk yesterday. The 1.30pm show was full. Luckily I went alone, so I can easily get a seat. So many kids were there together with their mother (father went to Friday prayer).

So, the movie was about the Chipmunks and the Chipettes stranded in an island because of Alvin's naughty behaviour. They were on a cruise but Alvin wanted to have fun, which caused them flied to the island. Just watch the movie first, then you will know how they fly. It is not a surprise anymore if I tell you everything.

In the island, we can see how they tried to survive (by singing Survivor by Destiny's Child at first), and who they met, what happened to them, and how Dave and Ian became friends. Haha...it was quite adventurous for the Chipmunks and the Chipettes. Quite funny and enjoyable.

Don't put too much expectations, just watch this movie to entertain yourself and your children (if you have ones). Since Alvin and The Chipmunks movie has a good reputation before, so I think this squeakquel was not disappointing at all. So, enjoy the movie!

Movie Review: New Year's Eve

Monday, December 12, 2011

I watched this movie at the GSC Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur with my best friend. I attracted to this movie because of the list of casts. Halle Berry, Sarah Jessica Parker, Katherine Heigl, Jessica Biel, Jon Bon Jovi, Abigail Breslin, Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher, Michelle Pfeiffer and many more popular actors and actresses were in this movie.

The movie was very nice. Nice, in my point of view, is not too heavy and not too light. The movie was a combination of happy, sad, love and funny. I got headache before watching this movie because I did not get enough sleep last night. However, the movie was not too heavy, so I can still absorbed the emotions.

Well, I'm too tired now. What I can say is that this movie is totally recommended if you want to enjoy a light movie. If you are into action movies, maybe New Year's Eve will be a little bit bored for you. If you like romantic comedies, then you better watch New Year's Eve.

I like this song.

Sunday, December 11, 2011

I like this song. It reminds me of an old friend who has got married and I wish him happiness forever. Oh, he totally forgot me, and I don't mind. Hehe. And oh, the part 'someone like you', in my case, should be changed to 'someone unlike you'. My future husband should be a way much better person, for real. Hehe.

Besides that, this song is a good song for karaoke. Hehe. Hurm...I feel like going to karaoke tomorrow, if Sitot wants to. Hehe.

Back to the lab...

Tuesday, December 6, 2011

I'm back to the lab. No, I will not do any more works. I just want to hang out and submit my dissertation. Just some unfinished matters. That's all.

I'm tired already working without payment. I need a permanent job now. No more free labour. I need money to survive.

So, now I am actively looking for a job. I don't mind starting with low salary, as long as it is a permanent job.
